Header wrap??
okay i was tv today and someone was dynoing there car and i saw they had a wrap on their intake? I understand they were trying to keep the cold air as cold as possible...but does it really work? if so what is it? And also will header wrap work for the same purpose?

On a dyno, if you ice down the intake, it will make the air more dense. You do not want to wrap your intake pipe on a daily driven car because it will heat soak and make matters worse than they currently are.

okay thanks

Header wrap on a daily is useless. As said on the intake it heat soaks. On headers it will trap and keep moisture close tot he pipes and cause them to rust out. Thats why it states with most all header makers it voids the warranty.

On the flip side, if she's a show rig, they dresss it up a bit in the old engine compartment
