K&N came today!!! with PICS
about 10 minutes ago UPS dropped off my new K&N FIPK... unfortunately, i wont be able to install it for a while b/c i have to write a history paper tonight and have a midterm tomorrow and friday night. once its on ill post pics and let you know how it runs
EDIT: i got it installed today and now my SES light is on and its probably because i drove around the block without plugging in the MAF sensor and attaching the tube to the intake before the throttle body... ill run to autozone in the morning and get it checked out
In the meantime, you can take a look at the pictures i got. i tried to get some pictures of parts thati havent seenin any other picturesso maybe other people can tell exactly what they will need to do
sorry about the pictures being so big (2303x1727) but i dont know how to resize them very well without making them grainy and blurry and the links for thumbnails dont work from this photo site

The heat shield uses the existing airbox mount just like yours in your how-to but it also has another support on it to hold the bottom tube of the intake

it seems to help quite a bit. an aftermarket less restrictive exhaust will also help a lot. yeah the K&Ns are a little expensive but mine was only $205 shipped on ebayand thats a lot less than the $260 that summits asking or the $300 that K&N is asking. there are a bunchof generic ones on ebay below $50 but be careful and make sure that you buy one with a heat shield to block engine heat.
