i just got back from mudding and i messed up my tail pipe, any ideas of repalceing it? could i just put it out twards the side? anyhelp would be great

 

When you say put it out towards the side, do you mean in front of the rear tire? If so, in many states, this is illegal. Many states require the exhaust to exit behind the rear tires and/or behind the passenger compartment and on a Blazer, the passenger compartment goes all the way back to the rear window.

Other than that, you could replace just the tail pipe. Use a hack saw or recip-saw (recip will be much faster and less tiring) clean up the edges with a file and slip on a replacement tailpipe from your favorite autoparts store. If it is only screwed up at the end, then maybe you could cut it off back a little bit (past the damage) and just install a new exhaust tip using the same method as above.

 

thanks for your help, yes i looked up some state laws and it said it cant be infront of the tire, so i am going to get a new tail pipe, a new muffler wiel im at it too i think
