Default '05 ZR2 Body Lift Question

Hey guys. I just bought a body lift for my 2005 ZR2.
Because i was un able to find one made for an '05 i purchased one designed for
an '03 but was told i would have to get a custom shaft made that goes from my steering column to the gear box because the steering extension will not fit. I am wondering what
the difference is. are the lengths of said shaft different or is it the diameter? or are these guys taking me for a ride and it actually is the same size?

What brand kit did you buy? I'll assume it is a 2" lift as you said it is for an '03.

I've got a 2" body lift on mine and didn't have to do anything for the steering. Very few ZR2 owners have problems with the steering, and if they do they only have to elongate a few holes in the firewall.

Do yourself a HUGE favor and go to the BDS website and download the instructions for their kit. As for whoever you are talking to about needing a custom made steering shaft, they are complete, total knuckleheads.

Hey thanks for the reply. I Started the lift 12 hours after posting hoping there weren't going to be any issues using the BDS install sheet. So far the only thing Ive run into is a body alignment issue and the bolts that were sent were way to dam short for the front cab mounts due to the Nerf bars. Thanks again.
