Default 1999 blazer 1.5-2inch lift

I would rather 2inch, call me a dunce i have read 3 pages here and still dont feel comfterable with lifting it without asking this for my particular situation.

What is the cheapest way to acheave a 1.5 inch lift. I can do the work my self, i just need to know what parts. Id also like to try ato aviod the tbar because i read about peoples ball joints going to hell, and the boots pissing grease. Or is that wrong?

Any ideas?

Yep, if you crank the t-bars it can do fun things to your front end. Thats not to say you cant keep on top of it but i can attest to the fact that it will cause more wear. As for 2 inches of lift on the cheap, get a body lift. Its safe, fairly cheap, rides like stock, and you can install it in an afternoon if you have all the tools handy (good set of sockets and a sawsall, grinder, or plasma torch to modify the back side of the rear bumper)

i think you could also usecoil spacers and shackles. you dont have to modify anything and i think its a lot faster, the body lift is a good idea too but then youll have to put on bumper brackets, front and back and if its your first time doing something like this its hell and takes longer than you would wish. trust me ive been through it.

To put it simply, a body lift seperates the body from the frame, by lifting it. Now on that site the body lifts come with everything you need, from bumper brackets to steering extensions.

how difficult is it to seperate body from frame? Will i have to worry about the liftbits (little black things)falling apart?

The body lift kit comes with everything you need to do the body lift and it replaces or adds to what is allready there.

Im just trying to get a general idea here, where to jack the body etc.

So, if i was to "jack it" now and look. I would see simmilar black round bits all around the frame?
