I'm assuming your getting the 3 inch body lift made for the 1st gen and putting it on your 2nd gen? The major issue here is your bumpers. You might be able to do something with your rear bumper, but as for the front... You will have to custom make bumper brackets for the front bumper or let the front bumper stay at stock height with everything else raised. Yes, there will be a noticeable gap there. Rotti can you tell that. As far as anything else, just watch the electronics (wires) when you start raising the body to put the blocks on. Don't want to get those in a bind. Also, watch steering components.

Yup & one thing that a lot of people don't think of is the lower radiator shroud. It's attached to the rad which is on the front clip. Raise that & the lower shroud will hit the fan. One way around that is to get longer bolts & sleeves for the bolts to join the upper to lower.
Wires will be close to maxed out with very little room for play. The gas filler tube will be close as well. As for the rear bumper I'm not sure about a '97 but my '02 has the hitch integrated with the bumper brackets. So raising up the rear bumper is out if you want to tow, unless you can fabricate or modify the 1st gen bumper brackets properly & safely.
An aftermarket CAI will sit closer to the wheel well & possibly interfere with it.
You will love it when you have to change plugs though. Most people have major issues with access to the plugs on the DS. With a 3" BL you can remove the tire & go right in with a 3/8" u-joint on the spark plug socket - no problem! It'll take you longer to R/R the tires than replace all 6 plugs.
