they dont make a 3" body lift for second gens only 2" however I have heard of a 1st gen 3" being used with some modification but if you go that route be prepared for some extra work, just a heads up before you start.

Yea i know ive been doing alot of research for this lift. A friend of mine has done this before and he is going to help me along the way. Im just going to look for 3" body lift blocks and buy the hardware my self. My friend knows to fab up some bumper brackets and all other mods im going to have to do. I was wondering if there is an upgrade for the ball joints. I had heard something about them but not sure. Any info anybody has would be greatly appreciated.

body lift wont change your cv/ball joint angles if thats what your worried about but otherwise I recommend This kit its the best you can get for these trucks. As for the 3" kit check out This one. No bumper relocation brackets, however fuel filler extension etc is included and its much easier on the wallet than the others doubt you could buy blocks and hardware seperate for a better deal (but i have been wrong before) either way its worth a look. Good Luck!

the kit I linked does not include bumper brackets I bought some steel and welded up my own so as for modifying premade 1st gen brackets I can't help you I have no idea.I would imagine the bolts would work see no reason why not.
