Default another shackel question

I am changing out my tie rods and cranking my t-bars while I have it jacked up. I have seen several posts about changing shackles to lift the rear but none of them that I have found say what stress it puts on the truck or how much you can go. I might put bigger shackles on the rear I want to see how it looks after I finish the front. If I do swap the shackles, will I need to change anything else like shocks or will they just have less travel? I would like to put on a body lift at some point but I have other repairs to do first.
Thanks

most guys go with 2" lift shackles and ive never heard of anyone having a problem due to lift shackles. if you go with a 2" or less shackle you wont have to change anything else such as shocks.

So realistically it would be a cheep way to lift the rear. I want to lift the truck about 2" and put on 30" tires for looks only, I don't take it off road.

adding shackles is probably the easiest/cheapest way to lift the rear.

Some people just crank the front up about an inch and don't even mess with the rear... gets rid of the "nose down" look.
