Default Bodylift difference question

Forgive me if I missed it while searching but I'm looking into the purchase of a bodylift for my 98 LS 4door and have been noticing a good $100 difference in price for the 95-97 kit compared to the 98+ kit (2" only unfortunatly, but have been seeing a couple remarks about the 1gen 3" that might sway me to that if it's as bolt on swappable as it seems besides bumper brackets... gotta read more on that). Just curious of any known differences between the early and late 2nd gen kits though to make the one more expensive than the other?
