Default Boots for Shocks or No?

Hey,

I was wondering what everybody ran around here? I just ordered a set of Monroe Reflex shocks since mine seem to be long gone lol.

How many people run boots over there shocks? How many go naked?
I'm having a hard time figuring out which way to go. I was almost set on no boots because the boot actually traps dirt, moisture, and mud inside and this would make the shock decay quicker. But on the other side, the boot protects the shock from rocks and other stuff that could potentially hit the shock. Can someone sway me one way or the other already? lol. The boots I would potentially get are in this link right hur: link

They are the Monroe Shock-Mate Shock Absorber Boot Kit.

Have you had any problem with premature shock failure?

And you don't mud right? The only thing I'm worried about is mud getting stuck in the boot, but personally, I like the look of boots too!

What color are yours? Got any pics?

Okay, that is the only thing I worry about. I go into some heavy stuff when muddin' sometimes. But maybe if I clean the boot out, I'll be all good. What color do you think would go well with my blaze? My choices are black, white, orange, red, blue, bright lime green, or violet (pinkish purple)

Personally, I think boots are more for looks than anything else. If you like them, get them.

Exactly. I ended up not getting any boots and going naked!

Only because I don't want to have a hard time cleaning the inside of the shock boot.

if you offroad the truck, leave them the heck off. i used to leave them on cause of the look. then a few years later when taking the shocks off, they were really rotted, and full of mud and water. my s10 which is a strictly offroad truck, have no boots and all 4 shocks look fine and are working properly
