most kits include new bumper brackets. I just installed the PA kit. Ive heard the BDS kit is slightly better. I know the instructions for the BDS kit are A LOT better than the PA kit.

If you have a trailer hitch, you have to check if its a class II or III. If its class III you will need to ditch the hitch, or fab your own bracket...the kit will not work with a class III hitch.

And you need to check the ply and construction of the 31s vs the 30s. They should only be cheaper if theyre on sale

Okay, Now that i have some more ideas and options going on in my head i have some more questions.

1. What problems will i see if i push a 2.5" or 3" body lift with the 2nd gen blazer? Mainly the steering column problems.

2. What is the bolt thread pattern of the body mount bolts? I have seen it before but the search is failing me. So it would be nice if i could get that.

3. 8 or 10 body mounts for the gen 2 blazer? I thought there was 10 but i can only locate 8..

10 on pre-2001s. 2001 and up have 12....supposedly. My 2000 has 12.

Theres two way up on the body inside the rear wheels. Theyre the ones I missed assuming I only had 10 mounts.

you would be better of getting a 2in kit then trying to make one. Also for body mounts i think it depends on if its a 2dr or a 4dr. My 99 had 10 the install manual said there will be 2 left over if its a 2 door. since the kit came with 12 it can be used on a 2 or 4 door.

I gave it a really good looking over and still only managed to find 8 so... i suppose i will find out fast when i start lifting it this weekend. And btw the 2.5" body lift cost me just over $50.00 and 4 hours of machine time. So IMO making it was the better option, and i got some sweet bushings from McMaster my old ones were getting pretty nasty so i figured i would not re-use

So i am going with the body lift, and keeping stock tires for now, since i still have a little tread left, the suspension lift is coming is probably a month or 2, i am going to fab up some long travel A arms with some new mounting brackets, as for how high im going i havn't decided yet. I will be posting pictures in the "Builds" fourm when i get started on the Supsension lift.

Tires...
I spoke with a friend at a tire shop.. the reasoning is that 31s are a more common size.
