Coil spacers?
#1
So i am wanting to level the front of my 2wd jimmy. Ive seen on here that you can do this by inserting coil spacers into the suspension coils. However, nobody has touched on what spacer work the best,(i.e. provide the most lift). Im planning to put on 30" bfg's and i wana get the most clearance as possible. Out of these spacers, which ones would give the greatest lift?

i would not run the spacers on a 2wd s series. the coild buckets are prone to having the spacer pop out. dick cepeck 2" lift coils can be had for under $70 and are a safe way to go about it. i will get you a link to some when i am on my computer. cause im on my phone right now.

I have the spacers from autozone that look like little rubber donuts. If you put them in the middle of the coil like it claims you wont notice much. But if you take the spindlle off and put the spacer on top of the coil and then assemble it all back together you will get a solid 1''. I'm currently doing this now. Had them in for 30,000 miles and haven't had a problem. It was still able to be aligned. It will make your ride a little more stiff but not as stiff as the lift coils. If you want a lot more of a lift you can put the spacers on the top and bottom of the coil and you will notice a big difference. BUT. The ride will be stiff and bouncy and its likely you wont be able to get it aligned without longer upper a frames. I've done every kind of lift on the 2wd blazer so just let me know if you have any questions. The rubber coil spacers are only 9 bucks a peice at autozone, pep boys, and advanced

Thanks for the responses. Ive done a lot of research and decided i'm just going to save my money and get a Zr2. No reason to put money into a 2wd when it will never be a 4wd.

SFA swap your 2wd and add a 4wd transmission & transfer case!

I agree. It would be cheaper to add 4wd if you have the tools and time. Other than that can't go wrong with a zr2!
