Soo once upon a time I bought a blazer and it was awful. Beat to poop had like 10 lbs of oil pressure max. So I Sold it to my dumb sister for over double what I paid.
A couple years later I got a super clean Sonoma It was my dd and wheeling toy. I ended up destroying cv’s, bj’s, hubs, and crashed into a pole. So I went out and got a pair of 79 f250 axles 44/60 combo, with flat tops. Got junk yard Dakota springs, ranger spring hangers and I am still acquiring parts. So far I’ve got my front crossmember mounted and the og one cut out. Front spring pack together and cut out the hump on the driver side of the frame to make it look like the other side. Now for pictures.

Did some work tonight got the hangers tacked in place. And I started to get the old perches off my 60

so I got some stuff done as you’ll see. Got the truck on the wheels. Shackle angle is iffy. Might wanna bring them a little forwards.

Ground to bottom of frame 18.5 with 27” tires. Not bad.

Update. So I cut my shackle mounts off and moved them like 2 or so inches forwards. In the process I have to cut my exhaust. No biggie
Ended up with 30 degree shackle angle

Neither of these shackle pics have weight on the truck.

Cut the chin spoiler off my bumper and threw it in to see what it’s gonna look like.

These are stock 8 lug Steelies and they stick out just a little bit lol.

Got a bunch of parts in. Still waiting on a few things tho.

Last piece of the puzzle.
UPDATE. Welded on my rear perches and set my pinion angle.

U bolt eliminators almost done.

Full droop. Replacing all brake parts

Took abs bull poop off and got a regular disk/drum prop valve

I like the progress! And the backstory lol

Not going to lie though, I'm a little concerned about the use of what looks like the 90 amp 120v Harbor Freight flux core welder used to stitch together a SAS. I have the same welder and I wouldn't trust it to get enough penetration to weld a new tongue to my trailer lol

Got all my drum parts and ball joints. Also got the filter fitting to put it on the block. The welder is a 220 flux core and it can burn holes in 1/2 steel if I wanted to. Not a concern at all.

Brake line holder, just need to use my dads hydro flare tool and lines are done.

Packed bearings, new outer seals

Breather and brake hose bracket

Cutting off and folding my quarters

Started on a rear bumper

Made a winch mount

the ford steering arm was giving me problems so I turned the studs in to bolts.

Got the stock bumper to fit over the winch. Look closely it’s in there.

3” intake and still using the stock air box and filter.

Finished my rear bumper.

Update 8-10-20 Took the bed off

Took this cross member out, stock shock mounts and all the spare tire bs. I will be mounting a sway bar to the crossmember before I reinstall it.

Fixed rotted cab/bed mount.

Spare tire crossmember turned in to sway bar mount

Full droop links for sway bar

Painted front cover silver

Update 8/21/20 Hole for body mount

Welding can mount back on

Fully welded sway bar mounting spots
