how to lift the front of my blazer?
I have a 1996 blazer 2dr 4x4. i Have already cranked my tortion bars one inch. And im building a set of 4in lift shackles for the rear. I am just wandering if there was a way to fab something up to give me the 3inchs i need in the front? I dont wanna crank my t-bars up anymore though. i dont wanna spend the money and buy a kit due to money but would much rather build my own setup. Any help would be a big help. Or is someone has built there own body lift and could give a list of materials and some pointers.
thanks

the only thing i can think of would be torsion keys. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/82-05...cessoriesabout $50 for 3 inch lift. thats a pretty good price for how much lift your gonna get.

If i were to get new keys wont that make my cv joints at more of an angle? My truck has 201,000 miles on the everytthing but the engine and trans. Im afraid if make that more of an angle it is going to break stuff. Im thinkin if i can find someone who has bought a body lift for there truck that i can pics of the parts and build my own. Im just not sure if my 4wd shift lever and steering knuckles and everything else will something fabed up to make it work.

Don't bother with those 3" lift keys. Like you stated its going to put your cv's at a extreme ankle and cause them to fail. Body lifts are cheap, you can get a kit for under 200.00 on ebay. They are mostly just hard plastic pucks. You can download the installation instructions from BDS or Performance Accessories if you plan on making your own kit. The directions will give you an idea of what you need. Only thing you need to fab up is bumper brackets.
