I just got a 1-3 inch torsion key set. i was wondering about removal. i know how to take the old keys out and install the new ones. but my question is would a 1 ton gear puller suffice to hold the key while i remove the adjusting bolt and block. if i remove all the weight off the torsion bars (aka jack the front end off the ground)

i installed that kit as well. i made a make shift puller to get it out and it surficed (puller with threaded metal). to install tho the weight and pressure with the new keys were too much. so i went out and bought the proper key removing and installing tool which was i think 150 but i got it for 50$. that tool really helped and made putting the new keys in a lot less scary!!! hahaha once u push the keys up enough to pull out the little movable suport and bolt u can slowly remove the pressure and the tool. then u must pull back the cross member that goes to the other side back a bit to pull the key off the torsion bar. then its the same to put the new keys on. hoped this helps
