Default just thinking 2wd lift...

ok guys and gals, so i've been thinking of lifting my 00 2wd 2dr and seems to be like no one makes a nice kit or a spindle lift. now i would like a suspension lift to accommodate some 17's and some 285's. ok if the 96-97 models have lift kits available can i swap myfront suspension for a suspension from the 94-98 models?

If this can be done and if everything worked what would i be losing? and what i mean is why did chevrolet change the brake system and front suspension set up?

Are you talking about the ZR2 model? I dont think a ZR2 susp would work on a non ZR2. Im no expert but thats just what I read. Do a search. How much lift are you wanting? Whats the budget?

will the 94-98 2wd blazer front suspension fit the 00 2wd blazer like the spindles fit the control arms with older brakes or would i have to change out the to the older control arms and all?

ok lately I have been talking and reading on the s10forum.com and it looks like the 98+ up blazers control arms is the same as the 94-97's. what would have ot be done is if I went with a lift spindle from a 94-97 then i would need the brakes, caliper, plate and all, should work fine. now is deciding if i would want to spend the money to do it..........

If you are just wanting a couple of inches to clear the bigger rims, why not a body lift??

nope no body, and no big wheels. i want a clean offroad look. i would like some narrow 33's with the front a tad higher than the back with some black 15's i think. It will probably never see anything other than paved roads and armorall...maybe the boat ramp also. ohh and a off-road rack on top.
