it can be cheaper and can be 10 times more expensive, just depends on how extreme and crazy you want to go also dont forget the downtime to tear down, design and instal the lift kit. it took me about 16hrs a week, 4 months to complete my turd. i would imagine if you bought a bolt on kit, and had everything siting in front of you it only taking a weekend or so

i was into fullsize k5 blazers for about 8 years before i bought a s10 and had tons of parts laying around for them. so i pretty much didnt have to buy squat and made all the brackets myself. some of the things i had to buy was

flat top steering arm and stud kit $115

6 leaf spring bolts 2 shackles and ubolts and nuts for axles - 93

stainless steel brake lines and other brake stuff - 100

drag link - 86

i think my sfa swap only cost about 5-600 bucks when it was in its early just driveable stage.

all said and done including the 325 i paid for the truck im into everything for 1800 bucks to this day
