Im looking to put a suspension lift on a 94 full size blazer 4x4. I heard a mechanic say that 6 in. is too high for the short wheelbase of the blazer and it might tear something up due to ifs angles or something or other. Do any of yall have 6 inches on ifs blazers without any trouble? Who makes the best lift kits for the money? Maybe a 4 in and 3 in body lift is better.
Thanks for lookin

Chris

you shouldn't have a problem with a 6" lift, just make sure you get a front diff drop kit with the lift that way the angles don't go out too far on the front suspension. also you should have a T-Case drop with those you'll be more than fine.

I am not exactly sure what lift kits are offered for the later model fullsize, but the suspension is laid out very similarly to the s-series trucks (torsion bar front end with independent front suspension). As a result, lift kits either crank the torsion bars or drops the front diff. The torsion bar lifts can only go so far (2-3") and can result in increased wear on your ball joints and CV shafts. The lifts that drop the front diff and suspension are generally ~6" lifts which are much more friendly on the front end components.
