lifted the truck and lowering the front diff?
So I was looking around on a chevy colorado forum (I don't own one just looking on the web) and I found a post about how to lower the stock front differential 1/2 an inch and I was just going to bring the link here so you guys/girls could see and ask if you guys/girls think it could be done to our blazers here's the link: http://coloradofans.com/forums/viewt...p?f=55&t=48347

I don't think it would work with our trucks, at least not as easily. Our front diff/axle is mounted at a 45° angle and I'm assuming the Colorado is almost parallel to the ground. In order for that to work, the spacer can only push straight down and on ours, a simple spacer like that would push it forward and down due to the angle.
I bet there's some way to adapt the idea but I doubt it will be as easy the how-to in that link
edit: found a pic,
The front diff is held in by a bracket that could simply be lengthed but the mount for the passenger side axle shaft would be trickier. You'd need to fab some bracket that allows it to drop straight down.

Ah that kinda seems simple but is there more to it than I think?

Matt, is that picture from a 6" superlift?

no Pat, that's the 5" Trailmaster kit (i think it was a TM kit) that Tony got from a Bug-on-Blazer project someone sold him.
