Angry Lowering truck=Lower hopes

Hey. I've got a 91 s10 blazer 4 door 4wd. I bought the lowering keys, and the keys will move on the bar, but the bar is seized inside the crossmember. Took it to a 4x4 shop and they said to cut bars and buy new ones to put keys on. We'll the GMC company doesn't have the bars since they are basicly a non wear item and rarely need replaced. LMC has em for a few hundred bucks, but that is a last resort. Tried to do it the homemade way by notching the crossmember so the adjuster bolt will sit lower and allow the front to sit lower. Hole saw didn't work and sawzall cut the metal but blade would hit the other side of crossmember and bend blades. I'm about out of options. I want to lower it just a hair 3 inches. Just so people think it's a 2wd, yet pulls all four wheels in the winter . Any ideas? Or should I just put it back at stock and watch my buddy in his slammed s10 and cry?

Did you try hitting the end of the bar with a hammer. Eventually it will break loose.
