I am installing the rough country 2.5 lift on my 2000 blazer. The rear sway bar is the post to eyelet type and the post have to be really tweaked to get it back in to the mounts on the frame. The sway bar relocation brackets move the sway bar up about an inch and forward about an inch. What have other people done with this? I am thinking about cutting the brackets off the frame and moving them down an inch so the posts will be straight up.

 

Or you could just remove it completely and go without. You won't even notice its gone after the first couple miles if that long. If you then decide you want it you can do all the other modifications to make it fit.

 

what i did when i installed mine was loosely install the sway bar to the frame, than install the relocation mounts loose and attached the sway bar to the mounts loosely. I than aligned everything up so that it work and havent had a problem. the key is to have everything loosely installed and than move it into a position that works than tighten it up. hope this helps. it took me a while to figure it out because there instructions arent the greatest.

All and all is this kit fairly easy to install?

 

It is going to take more time than they say it will. You need to take parts of the steering apart to take out the front diff. I didn't take it apart, instead I cut off the upper mount while int he vehicle then did the trimming and put it back in. I had the lower mount in before I put in the new bracket for the upper mount. This made it go quicker. It was not difficult but would have been better if I had an extra set of hands. I did replace the lower ball joints as well. Make sure you mark the front drive shaft so it goes back in how it comes out or you may have a vibration if you are 180 degrees off. Just make sure you have a sawzall. I also used a die grinder with a sanding drum to smooth out the rough edges from trimming. Just take your time.
