T Bar Crank Help
So I've read many threads on this and still have one question: If you have to turn the key bolt 4 - 6 turns depending on sag to get 1.5" where are you taking this measurement at? In other words how do I know when I'm at 1.5" of lift? And where is a good place to get 1.5" shakles? Thanks
i measured mine in these two places. www.synergyoffroad.com sells shackles but im not sure what sizes

So there isn't any kind of science to it? I won't get so high with each turn or 5 turns equals 1.5"? Has anyone ever gotten a full 2" out of Tbar cranking? I'd like to go with 2" shackles and get 2"out of the Tbars. I'd rather install high quality ball joints, etc than buy cheeeeesy lift kits, AndI'm not a huge fan of body lifts becauseGM shows off their frames enough on stock trucks! Thanks

All these posts about cranking the torsion bars and it's all making me wonder one thing. Do the torsion bars themselves ever wear out? I just got my ball joints replaced today with some nice Moogs, so if I crank the t-bars and keep those ball joints lubed and keep an eye on everything else, what will happen to the t-bars??
Well I ordered 2" lift shackles hoping I can get 2" out of the Tbars. I know most of the threads talk about 1.5" shackles and 1.5" Tbar crank with small body lifts but I don't care for body lifts. I was hoping to get more help with my earlier ? on getting 2" out of a Tbar crank but oh well. My blazer sits pretty lowIthinkit has setteled a lot since 1994 so hopefully I can get 2" out of it.
If any of think this is a bad idea, please let me know. Thanks.......check out my pics

i torcked mine as much as i can get them i dont personally recomend it, it put too much stress on my cv axle and the clamp tore the boot so now mine cvs leak some it can be costly in the end but i like the way my blazer sits and i dont really care i was going to upgrade my cvs anyway but i dont recomend it for anyone else.
