Default wider stance

im new round here and got a 97 bravada ive put roof lights on it, shackles and 1" torsion bar tweak. Lookin for a wider stance. anybody know what i can do with backspacing? If i get a 2" body lift, 30s or 31s with less backspaced wheels will they rub?

if you get a body lift and have the tbars cranked and shackles you can easily fit 31's with 15x8 rims with 4-4.5" backspacing without much rubbing even at full flex. I had to trim my fenders because I don't have a body lift but they don't rub anymore with my fenders trimmed. I don't think with a body lift you will need to trim the fenders at all

glad we can help. and I think you mentioned in your other thread about you've "reached you offroad limits" what kind of tires do you have? that plays a fairly big role in offroading capabilities especially if you have some all weather tires they aren't very good for off roading

you should look into getting some new tires with your new rims. some nice aggressive a/t's is probably what you need. you will see a big difference in getting different tires even if you don't lift it

thats my ultimate goal. i was trying to figure out if i can fit 31s with less backspacing without rubbing. Or should i just get 30s. Im going agressive. No doubt about that. I love mudding but i dont love getting stuck.

31's won't rub if you get a body lift on top of your tbar crank and shackles. another thing you might want to look into getting is a locker for your rear axle that is a huge help when you are mudding. I have gotten stuck many times where if I would have had a locking rear end I wouldn't have been stuck
