02 4dr ls with no rear wiper defrost. can i upgrade easily?
first off first threat first post, hello everyone.
i bought a blazer from a co-worker yesterday drove it to work for the first time this morning and realized very quickly there is no rear defrost or wiper. the spot on the dash where the control would be are blanked off. i want to know how easily i can wire in a new rear window with a defrost and wiper. are the wires there and just need to be dug out and plugged in or is it more involved? also it is as bare bones as they come, no power windows, seats, locks, rear defrost/wiper (as stated), cruise, tilt... ect. it does however have push button 4wd, i do not know if it came any other way, and the tow package. next question is about the seat. what models came with a power seat? i am a tall guy (6'5") and i rub the headliner most power seats sit lower than mechanical ones do. any suggestions from anyone would be great.
i got the blazer for less than half of what it is worth. i could not pass the deal up for a second vehicle while my jeep is in the custom shop. that is why i bought first and will customize it to fit me and still have less in it than what is it worth.

well in the weeks since posting this i realize that the wiper is attached to the dropgate. i suppose a wiper wouldn't be very hard to install. it seems that just a hole needs drilled into the body and installed like stock. has anyone done this to their blazer? either mod?
Wow... I didn't even know that these were optional. The wiring is likely going to be the largest pain if it isn't there. In the later years, GM decided to cut out wiring for options that were not ordered. If the wiring is there, you may be able to just drill the hole and bolt it in...
