Default 1997 blazer hazard switch

So a couple of days ago when i was working on the gauge lights in the dash, when i was putting the dash altogether the hazard switch broke. So i removed the little spring inside so all the connections are touching and i could use my turn signals until my replacement arrives from ebay. so today i messed with the hazard switch some more(stupid idea) the horn starts going off.
as soon as the hazard switch makes a connection my horn will constantly go off and not stop. When my replacement comes in will it stop doing that or am i screwed and have to buy the 200 dollar whole control kit replacement.
