I kinda have the same problem but it only happens when its cold outside. Glad I live in AZ. hahahahahaha...I figure its the motor and I went and pick one up but have yet to install it. (Its still warm out, 100 plus most days) but when it gets cold again (I mean like 45 degree's or cooler) it will start acting up. I open and shut the door a few times or bang on the side about where the motor is and it will slowly start working again. I know one of this days I will have to take the dive and replace it. But heck as long as my work around works, it works for me! I really hate to dive into taking that side panel off, they can be a pain, then to replace the motor you have to be careful or lose a few fingers. I also have the transmission filter change kit. I will get around to that. Had it change at 50K and it was pretty dirty (Filter) now at 106K I figure its due again...as soon as I get up off my butt I will do it or sell it...Had electioic (sp) problems for about 6 months and I think I have taken care of.

Good luck with either way you go.

Angry My power window problem

Using my passenger side window switch, nothing happens. Passenger window operates OK using switch on the drivers side master switch. I changed the passenger side switch, no change. Where does the passenger switch get it's
power from? Any suggestions will be appreciated!

I can't locate the breaker for my 2000 Blazer. 6 web sites & 2 GM techs say that it's at the left end of the dash & to the right of the fuse box. It's not. I've tried to find a wiring diagram, but all I can find is schematics. The diagram would show the actual location, so that I can trace the power supply.

I have a new to me 98 LT and the window lock switch is missing. I have looked for this specific switch at all the usual places, Rockauto, Autohaus etc. etc. with no luck just to find the part number. Does anyone know the part number for this switch?

Thanks,

Richard

By the window switches, on the drivers side, there is a lock out switch(it sets where iy will switch from side to side. If this is in the "lock" position, the windows can be operated only by the driver side. This is to keep children from "playing" with the windows.

You will have to replace the whole door switch assy. on the driver's side.
