2001 2wd...overhead display.
Hey guys,
I have a 2001 2dr 2wd beauty that I just bought about a month ago.
She does not have an overhead display and was wondering if anyone here has ever installed one on a blazer that did not come with one.
And is that possible at all? And if so...where would be a good place to buy one.
Or would it be better to puy one that mounts to the wall? I have looked a little bit at the auto stores but did not find one that was digital.
I am looking for one that possibly has a compas, time, lights, etc...
I am in San Antonio,,,,
Thanks for any advise you guys have...

it can be done....you need to go a local scrapyard and find one with what you want in it.
there are two types.
compass and temp
compass, temp, fuel economy info...i.e. avg mpg ..instant mpg
after you find what you want you will need to pull the whole thing...harness and all.
AND make notes of where the harness went .
you also need the sensor from radiator support...it ties into the temp reading " i think"
then take it home and plug and play..."should be"
that is how i acquired mine.
takes a little effort but worth it.
i am sure others will help out on this one
if you search around you will find others have done this...see what you can dig up.

Thanks a bunch, Warthogdriver...
That will be my next on my "TO DO" list. Go search the junk yards for the overhead display.
Any suggetions on make and model that would carry something cool? I would like one with all the gadgets but not sure I will be able to wire all the stuff...
If I go that route, I might just pay someone to do it right and professionally.
