You can make it work, but the key part of that phrase is the word 'work.'

as long as I only put hids in the low beam I souldnt have any problems with the drls? I don't use high beams much so I don't think I will want the headache of the drl and the high beam fighting each other. thanks for any info you guys can give me

The only problem would be the auto head light function. It likes to turn on the hids right when you are starting the truck, and the ballasts for the hids don't like that much.

i have only hids in the lows and havent had problems for 3 years, all the sudden the hids wouldnt turn off unless i did the over ride by hitting the dome override button 3 times. heres what i did to make it work.

i disabled the auto head light sensor (which i think was bad anyway) On the dash, in the passenger speaker grille i put a 2.2k ohm 1/2watt resistor where the sensor goes

follow this links instructions it worked perfectly for me. and i DID NOT have to disable the drls, just the auto headlight sensor.

Thanks for the info. I'm not sure if my 97 blazer has the auto lights feature or not but I will keep that in mind

Check your right dash speaker grill. If you have a black bubble you have auto headlights. Or if you dont have to turn them on at night lol.

Good luck man
