2003 Blazer Possessed
Hi everyone, I have a 2003 Chevy Blazer, My son put a sound system in it and he started having problems with the doors locking all by themselves with the keys in it. The windows would go down all by themselves, the dome light stays on all the time, the lift gate will no longer open. Was told by a mechanic it was the ECM so ordered a new one and put it in yesterday, performed the key "on" for 20 minutes try to start and key on for 20 minutes try to start, four times and it started and ran. After about 4 hours it started running really rough and now it stalls out in idle, the dome light is back on and won't go off, the doors are locking by themselves again and the security light is flashing then goes out etc... We put the stock radio back into the vehicle and removed the sound system. Does anyone have any advice for us to fix this, My blazer is in really exceptional condition to junk it.

If it was acting fine before the radio install, and after it's possessed by demons, definitely go through any wiring that was disturbed during the install. Sounds like something got messed up!

You have to be careful installing stereo and accessories in newer cars now. They have such things as Body Modules (basically computer for all accessory crap in car like power windows, wipers, interior lights, etc). Sounds like the rest of the truck network rejected your son's install. Is it still doing it after all has been removed?

I'm gonna just throw this out there not sure? I would do a search on the ignition switch.....
ignition switches are a known problem on these trks. Usually it causes light issues and stalling and starting issues!!! Btw, when the trk is off the security light will flash, this tells u that it is armed
