97 Blazer fuel buffer

Default 97 Blazer fuel buffer


I have a 97 with a carb 350 and a th400. I have a mechanical fuel gauge, but can't get it to work. Could it be because of the buffer (only 97's have it)? Could the buffer be bypassed?

Did you match sending unit OHM'S to the gauge OHM'S
1965 - 1997 Chevy 0 empty to 90 OHMS full
1998 & up 40 OHMS empty - 250 OHMS full

Yes I checked it it's a 90 Ohm.
