98 headlight issue, help
So I've been browsing for hours and hours on how to disable my drl's but, after a while I put two and two together that my low beams are just always on, my light switch to the right of the steering wheel doesn't activate the lights unless the truck is not running...I tried the pin 86 thing thinking that maybe my drl's were just using my low beams but theyre still on. So my question is where do I start?? I was thinking the. Headlight switch? Any ideas please and thanks

I'm not too sure on a '98 but it's 2nd gen - pull the passenger side dash speaker off & that lil black nipple is the DRL sensor, unhook it.
Have you searched for DRL in here?
"my light switch to the right of the steering wheel doesn't activate the lights unless the truck is not running" <--- is odd to me, a '98 has the light switch to the RIGHT of the column? & truck is NOT running?!... REDRUM - call an excorcist lol

Search for "AHL+disable". AHL = automatic head lights. You'll find this thread:

Yeah I meant to the left of the steering wheel lol but, I don't have ahl or the sensor that everyone is talking about in the passenger side speaker grille.

That is weird... I thought all 98+ trucks came with AHL...
Sounds like you have a short somewhere in your system.
