Hello, I have a 2000 4 door blazer, that for the past couple of months the factory installed alarm goes off randomly, and the past two times it has shut off on its own before I could get out to the car to turn it off as the keyless remote stopped working a few weeks ago. Admittedly, it was only working within a close distance before then and sometimes I had to preso the unlock a couple extra times to get it to work while standing next to the car.

I have a fairly new battery, not more then a year old, the car seems to have no leaks where water can get to the wiring.

Can anyone help me fix this? I do not like to leave my car unlocked as it sits too close to the street.

 

check that the battery terminal connections are tight and your also likely due for a new battery in your remote

you should be able to lock the doors manually when get out
