All speakers out.

Lived with the old delco am/FM cassette. Speakers would go on and off, mostly on then mostly off then all off. After listening to myself for about a year put a brand new Kenwood in today.
Worked on pre-button up test. Sound from four speakers. I do not believe there is a external amp. 12v to black ground on both switched and un-switched. Resistance on all speakers from connectors shows open.
Anyone know if the harness from the back of the radio goes to another harness behind the dash were the wirer's divide.
Any ideas how to trouble shoot this problem.
I know less then zero on car audio.
Even something on the most basic would be a great help.
Thank's....Jeff.

I was looking at that but the speakers have two wires each a pos and a neg that come of the radio and that ground is good. With the speaker wirers reading open that makes me thing some kind of routing block thats undone. It dosent show one on the schem, so maybe there is an amp somplace but its the base system I think?
I am stuck on a ground issue
try a jumper cable from the engine block to the body
any mods in , console ,fender, rocker area or tail light wiring around the time this started happening ?
I have seen screws threw the carpet that caused the entire interior to be removed to track down
