98 4dr some background first, i just replaced the drivers doors lock actuator from ebay, this actuator didnot come with the latch *** so i transfered everything and installed. i went to plug everything in and noticed old unit has 3 plugs and the new one has 2. i gather that the 3rd plug has to do with keyless entry which i dont have a remote for. everything works fine with the door locks now, jump ahead 2 days and go to unlock doors and the button on tailgate wont open window, no noise nothing but use the button on dash and works fine. un related and coincidence or does the system need to be a loop, mind you the 3rd plug is not hooked to anything

i may be leaning tword the button being bad, mine has a the key integrated in it i wonder if i can put one that just has a button only

after tearing apart i believe the pigtail that plugs into the lock cylinder is bad, this little bastard is 90.00 can you believe it. i tore open 6 different ones in junkyard and none matched, they changed styles several times it seems
