Default blinker issue

Hey I have a 95 blazer 2wd 4.3 205,xxx...when I bought it the guy had the brake fuse out because the signal switch was broken and the hazards were stuck on...so I replaced it put the fuse back and now the hazards work fine...but the turn signal only comes on once in awhile (like 5 times in the past month) and it doesn't blink it just stays solid...also when I turn the wheel with the blinker on it doesn't click back into the neutral position

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like the signal switch is broken. Have you looked inside the steering column?

Could be the flasher relay. As for the switch not returning there should be something that makes the signal switch return inside the column.
Never had any apart, sorry for the lack of help.

What brand hazard switch did you use? I had problems with the dorman ones... There so flimsy and cheap.

I replaced my dads switch again with one from the dealer.

A way to rule out if its the hazard switch is... turn a blinker on and wiggle it . Pry it foward and backward and sideways with your thumb and see if it fixes it.
Just dont put to much pressure or it will break.

I took the other switch out and the white toggle piece to go back to neutral was broken so I got another one...it now switches back when it's supposed to...but instead of turning the blinkers on it clicks once like it's going to then doesn't...hazards work fine...fuse isn't blown...could it be relay if so where can I find and how can I check it?
