Default Brake lights stay on after Blazer is off!

Hey guys, recently (last week and all day yesterday) my brake lights have been staying on after I turn off my Blazer. I turn on and then off the alarm and that was doing it but yesterday they stayed on all day and my battery died. I tried pulling on the brake pedal and the emergency pedal, I checked the fuses on the side of the dash and still they remained on. Any clues? There's plenty of brake fluid too so it isn't that.

Are you sure your alarm has anything to do with brake lights? Usually just parking lights.
Most cases of this.. likely a bad brake light switch.

Follow the pedal arm up till you see the pin attachinng the brake rod. The switch straddles it. Pull the clip, pull brake rod over till the switch bracket just clears end of pin then push switch up. Or you can try pulling the connector to the switch while it is still attached. If it doesnt go out, then problem is likely in the turn. hazard switch.
