Cruise and windshield wipers not working
Hello all,
I've been looking through the forums but cant seem to find the answer. I got the blazer (98 LS model from a fire company. 75k miles and upkeep at every factory interval!!!!) and the cruise didn't work. Not worries I thought. Also noticed the wipers only worked when the steering wheel was below the 1/2 way position. I replaced the multi function switch as the old on had some melted plastic. Now the wipers are totally kaput. They worked briefly the same way (steering wheel down), now nothing. I assume that is why the rear wiper is also out of service.
I'm at a loss. I've traced the cruise issue to this unattached four pin connector, but there is nothing to plug it into. According to the Haynes manual, the purples (white and plain) and the brown/white are part of the cruise system. Just no where to go. Anybody got a under the driver side dash picture?
The wipers...I got nothing. no loose wires. Switch tests good. Fuses are good.
If anyone has a tip, thread, or direction, I'm all ears.
Thanks in advance.
