Default day time running lights help!!

I just installed a pair of halo head lights with an HID kit ( and let me just say how amazing they look, il post some pictures) and i know its not good for the HIDs to be getting turned on and off alot when starting and stoping my truck. I want to disable the drls but i havent found a way. I have a 2000 chevy blazer 4x4 4 door. Ive tried the over ride dome bottom but i dont want to keep doing that everytime. I heard you can replace the drl sensor thats in the left dash speaker panel with a 1000ohms resistor but i dont wanna just start cutting stuff and have it be wrong, and ive looked for a fuse but can not find one that only runs the drls. Im very aggravted. If any one has any suggestions i would very muchg like that ! thnx.

The resistor is to disable automatic headlights. To defeat the DRLs, you need to bend a pin on the DRL relay. "DRL+disable" into the search function should give you the details you need.

Pin 86 on the relay under your hood.
