disable auto head lights? questions

I'm with him!^^^^^
But as you wish:
No it is not the same.
I believe the DRL disable for your model is open the under hood fuse box and either pull the DRL fuse (NOT RELAY), Or pull the relay and bend pin #86 up (or cut but I do not recommend this unless you have another one lying around) and replace.
Search just in case because my memory has failed me before.

I'm having the same issue where the DRL's and the DIM's are on at the same time on my '98.
I don't mind the DRL's but I am annoyed by the automatic headlamps.
I'm going to pull the DRL fuse (black one with a little arrow in the under hood fuse block) until I can do the resistor mod.

I took out the fuse to the daytime running lights in my 96 jimmy.
I put the parking lights on when I want orange and what not.
Only put the headlights on completely when I want them on.

Thats the auto headlight disable. To get rid of the daytime running lights you have to pull the relay out and bend a certain pin back...
search is your friend.

An '01 is completely different than a '96... Read through the thread that Sturg posted just above yours. It covers things very well.

You might also want to skip the insults/name-calling even if its just a broad statement...

You made a broad statement that anyone that uses automatic headlights is a moron. That kind of stuff has no place here, hence the subtle warning.
And I really don't see what you consider "jump down every new guy's throat". I guess it's all in your mood/state-of-mind at the time you read the statement.

Daytime running lights go on when the car is on basically.
Pull the fuse and they never go on.
Then you can turn the parking lights or headlights on whenever you want.
Does that answer your question?
