I have a 99 Chevy Blazer LS... I had to change out my combination switch (Turn signal, cruise control arm) due to the rear brake lights not working. While taking apart the dash I came across a myriad of wiring issues. It seems the previous owner figured himself a electrician.
Can anyone help me identify these wire harnesses that were located underneath the dash. Both are on the left side of the drivers foot room area.
Pictured are two harnesses. One black with four female connectors and one gray with a burn mark and one connector.
I've also included the dangerous wiring I found. The two cables wrapped together are for the cruise control. The white cable spliced into the harness is unknown. I simply cut it off and taped the end when replacing the combination switch.
Thank you in advance.

By the way, my under-dash sockets (2) display that exact same charring. It’s normal do to
excessive heat from the bulb in a confined area. I replaced mine with an LED.
The area I dismantled was located where the drivers legs go. One insulated piece was removed above the gas and brake pedal and one piece that is connected to the parking brake release.
