Got the same head unit because I really wanted a double din touch screen. Had the thing for about 3 months now and still dont know all it will do. It will play movies and make calls thru my phone and a whole bunch of other stuff. All I really wanted was to good sounds from FM and excellent sound from from a USB. In the end, more head unit than I wanted and less amplification than I needed.

You can setup your own amp between the unit and your speakers to get the amp power you're looking for. I haven't done it myself as I'm not looking for much more than its worth to me.

But yes the unit has lots to offer, In the last month I've been working on a custom dash for it utilizing its OBDII support.

@ Sax Dude, yeah I hooked up one 100x4 alpine amp to the front speaker xover, amd didnt use rear speakers (as per Alton) and one 500 watt single channel amp to the 13in sub. The amps run class A to about 20% rated. I think the head unit is about 17 watts flat out. For me it isnt about quantity as I have been out of hi school for quite a few years.

Yeah I hate seeing those hopped up, blow it out of the water systems that sound like garbage and just rattle the car to bits. Always feel for those cars that just get destroyed from the inside out
