Fog Lights

Fog Lights
First off, I'm not the most mechancally inclined person but I would like to change my Blazer's foglight switch so it is like the one in my '94 Caravan, it has a fog light button that you press in
and it stays in until you push it in to turn them off, so they come on with the headlights automatically. How can I make my Blazer do this?
Any ideas?

Maybe possible to just splice in a manual switch and ditch the OEM switch. Did u think of trying that yet?

No I really haven't thought much about it because wiring isn't my thing. I want it to still look stock-ish if possible. I don't know what kind of switch is in the van, but I thought maybe there would be one like that I could plug in behind the Blazer one where the button would be normal but the switch would be depressed. Hard to explain kind of.

If wiring isnt your thing then maybe just leave it. Try pulling OEM switch out to see how many wires go to it. Ive havent pulled my panel yet to see if theres 2 wires. If theres 2 wires one should have constant voltage and other no voltage. You can probably just splice the 2 wires together without a switch and bypass OEM. The OEM switch will then just be a dumby for looks. Ill get back with u let me check the shop manual to see the wiring diagram

be careful messing with the stock fog light switch, for some reason the dash lights are tied into it. and the stock fog light switch is pretty much like that other than it doesn't stay pushed in when you push it.

I can do wiring, its just I'm really really slow. I was just wondering if anyone that has customized their interiors or anything could point me in the right direction. It's one of the few things that bugs me on my Blazer

On my 98 bravada the fog lights can only come on when the brights are off and the dims are on.
I would like mine to be on when the dims are on and when the brights are on.
To make it a little brighter on the country roads.

That would be a nice touch too. Most vehicles don't have the fogs on with the brights I'm pretty sure, dunno why. It can be done but I have no idea how, I've heard it mentioned around here before.

The stock fogs are for show anyway, get your self a pair or driving or fogs and wire them to the headlights if you need all that light.
Or get low beam HID kit by it-self enough light.

can the fogs be grounded out too like the low beams to keep them all on with high beams
