Fuel gauge died & Low Level light on 98 Blzr

After topping off the tank on my 98 Blazer and only driving about 2 miles I noticed the fuel gauge reading Empty and the fuel low level light illuminated as well as the console readout of "E". I have confirmed the tank is still full as I have driven it and there is no evidence of a total fuel leak.
My thinking was that it was a fuse but I cannot determine which fuse it would be. No other lights or warnings in my intrument cluster are affected. Everything else seems to be fine.
Any idea where I need to begin troubleshooting?

If you search "fuel gauge" I'm sure you will get plenty of helpful threads, I have seen a few that have discussed this. I would link you to some but I'm on the moble site so I can't.

Have a look through the thread linked to below and let us know if you have some more questions:
98+ Fuel Gauge Diagnosis
The fuel gauge is powered along with quite a few other gauges in the cluster so a single fuse going out would tend to affect other gauges as well. Your problem is likely a wiring or sending unit issue. The diagnostic chart, even skipping over the scan tool stuff, can lead you to the source of the problem.
And as suggested, there are quite a few threads discussing problems with the fuel gauge, or more specifically the fuel level sending unit.

After several tanks of gas the fuel guage began working again. I had put some STP fuel injector cleaner in the tank near the time the fuel guage quit. But after several tanks of gas it purged itself out.
