Default Fuel Gauge Stays on E

I have a 2001 Chevy Blazer 4x4 four door with a 4.3 liter engine. My fuel gauge went to E and the low fuel light stays on. I changed the fuel pump with a Delphi pump complete with fuel pressure sensor and sending unit. The gauge still reads Empty. I checked
the wiring from the tank to the fuse box and didn't see any areas where it's damaged. Anyone have any ideas as to what this issue may be?

Thanks in advance.

make sure your fuel tank ground is good.

IIRC, the sensor ground is in the harness not the tank.

my 94 has two grounds one to the pump, one to the gauge sensor.. they are secured into the same eyelet and grounded to the frame near the tank.

you can test the gauge by disconnecting the connector at the fuel sender, and using a test lamp to ground the gauge wire.. the gauge should swing almost to 'e' (the test light stops it going all the way) if it doesn't, it's the gauge itself.

Hey guys,

I was able to get around to troubleshooting my issue with the gas gauge. The ground is good. Looks like I'm going to have to replace the gauge cluster. Gauge appears to be bad. Thank you all for your help. I greatly appreciate it. Have a good weekend.
