3rd brake light not work
Hello everybody
The 3rd light of my jimmy 00 not work so, I check all fuses is working nothing burn but when I search for CHMSL relay in underhood fuse box the slot should fit inside is empty and I go to junkyard and buy relay from 01 jimmy but when I fit it in my fuse box in the place of it the relay move freely it seem there is no terminals connected to it.
On the fuse box cover the location where should be fit is there. It is impossible !!!

Have you checked for power at the plug to the lamp? It's possible that the light is just bad. It's pretty common for them to get moister inside them and burn out. They're an LED array as an assembly, so there's no "bulb replacement", you have to replace the entire unit if it's burned out.
I went through 3 junkyard ones before I found one that worked to replace mine when it went out...

Hello
Today, I check if therepower at the plug of the 3rd brake light and yes there is power around 13.54 V. So, I check the resistance of 3rd brake light by using my avometer and it's read 1<<<(open) nothing conduct after that I remove it from the car and I open it and I see that diode is gone. I replaced it and weld new diode using the solder iron and plug it. It works excellent but when I fit the light in interior roof I turn the plastic trim by mistake and the terminal of it touch the roof body. Now the overhead console lamps not work .
I will upload the photo of the old diode soon
thank you
