Default Fuse blowing and the rear hatch

Hello,
I read a bunch of the threads on the rear hatch issues. My Blazer is a 1996 and I'm having issues with the number three fuse blowing as soon as I put a new one in. About a year ago I got sick of the interior light coming on intermittently so I pulled the bulb out. I never had any issues with the rear hatch opening whether it be by key or with the hatch button on the dash. Today I tried to open the hatch to no avail, no clicks nothing. I read a thread about fuse number three in the main panel and it was in fact blown. I got a multipack of 20a fuses and tried to switch it out. After the first two blew out as soon as the blades touched the connection points, I tried putting a 25a in instead. I was able to open the hatch but it also zapped out just after I pushed the hatch release button. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

Well for anybody who sees this, check the rear cargo light next to the rear hatch. I pulled it down and the power wire was disconnected. Fixed the problem.
