Default GMC Jimmy 2001 Headlight Options

I'm looking for some halo projector headlights for my GMC Jimmy.

So I've read here (and done my own searching) and know that the GMC Jimmy of this era do not have an off the shelf custom headlights of any sort which is a shame because he Jimmy's have such a great looking front end on them.

I've heard of people that will do a front end swap but I really prefer the GMC front end so I'm not looking to do that. I also would prefer to avoid body work as my fenders are in good shape as they are (even after a whole life in the snow and salt of north Michigan).

Here are my choices and I'd like the knowledge base, that I've grown to love reading here, to offer up other suggestions or options. Thanks in advance.

1. Buy Blazer Halos with the turn signals and rig a way to attach the two together and fill the gap in a clean way

2. Find another car's headlight that fit the same or similar profile of the Jimmy headlight slot.
--Suggestions?

3. Retrofit Jimmy headlights (I've yet to see one's I like done this way though so not a huge option in my mind, open for convincing though)

Otherwise I'd like to see what you've done or have suggestions for. Again thanks in advance.

I think to do the blazer grille/headlights all you need is the core support and the headlights and. I believe the fenders are all the same.

as for retrofitting projectors into your current headlights would be pointless because of the fluted lens that you have would mess up the light output.

To be honest, in the end, you are better off getting some higher wattage halogen bulbs if you want more output. The aftermarket projectors with halos that they have for blazers are total garbage and are made for halogens. They do not produce any better light than stock housings, and in many cases mess up the light output more than stock.

Always retrofit if you can and dont waste your time or money on those junk projector housings
You can get some lexan and vacuum form it to the shape of the headlight lenses, then retrofit into your current headlights. Gives you the clear lens you'd need to retrofit.
Head over to hidplanet.com, there's a few threads discussing making clear lenses. Then retrofit away!
