Default Green LED's in Lund Moonvisor?

I have a lund moonvisor on my 1996 Gmc Jimmy. It's the version with the amber clearance lights. I found a guy that sells clear lenses made of Lexan that I'm planning on buying. CLEAR Lund Moonvisor Lenses Lens Truck Visor Cab Light | eBay

I'm planning on replacing the factory #194 bulbs with #194 lime green LED bulbs. Any specific bulbs that are better? Will I run into any problems with this? and also will these pose any legality issues? Any input would be appreciated.

I put a Pink led in my cab lights... should work just fine. As for legality... you'd have to find an officer and ask. I know Blue, Red and sometimes Yellow lights are illegal, unless you are an emergency vehicle/

In NC as long as an Amber light isn't flashing(tow truck lights) its legal. I may be wrong on the Yellow. I know a lot of the emergency vehicles where I used to live had red or yellow flashing lights... so I just assumed it was illegal.

First I've ever heard yellow or amber being illegal.

In this state green is for hazmat teams and unless your on that team and responding to a call you can't run it, flashing or not.

Last time I was in tennessee any non normal color lights were frowned upon. I was at a minitruck show and the cops were busting the ricers left and right for underbody neon. Us dragging our trucks tearing up the road pissed them off but we had enough sense to park when the pigs showed up.

So I talked to a couple cops in the area and they said green would be fine. If the lights aren't blue or red or flashing I shouldn't get pulled over. I'll post some pics when I get it all hooked up. Thanks for all the input everybody.

Yeah Michigan law states ..you cant have any blue, red, or amber lights flashing, rotating or oscillating on the front of a vehicle..As that is for emergency vehicles only.... I had some blue ones on my s10 Xtreme years ago those cheesy led hood squirters and they didnt flash...Still got a warning ticket ...
