Headlights not bright enough!!!
OK, been searching for about 3 hours now on why the hell I cant get my headlights bright enough to actually see the road at night. the dealer keeps telling me that its the sealed beams units and they are all that way. I even converted the lights to H4 bulbs and nothing. I dont buy that I have to live with them being dim and after looking online I found this:
"THE DESIGN OF THE DIFUSER DOES NOT PROVIDE ADEQUATE LIGHT ON ROAD SURFACES CAUSING POOR VISIBILITY"
Can anyone PLEASE explain this to me or shoot me ideas so I dont have to lose my beloved Blazer due to my 24 hour on call job...
1997 Chevy Blazer 2dr
4.3 V6 Vortec 4x4
2.5 inch Flowmaster 40s exhaust

Do a projector retrofit. Even one of the cheaper kits from theretrofitsource.com (like the Mini H1 projectors) would blow your current setup out of the water.
Of course, you could just go with a set of driving lights.

X2 do a relay harness first if you hadn't. What h4 converson lens did you use?
Stay away from any h4 projector retrofits, they only make your headlights from a nice wide flood pattern to a narrow pencil beam. Great if you only want to see in tunnel vision. Personally I don't care what's 200 yards off straight ahead. I'm more worried what's 20 yards off to the side about to jump out.

I used a cheapo piece-o-s*** set off amazon. I think they were called Autopal 4x6 or something similar. I didnt update the harness other than a splice-in adapter that changed the end from the funky offset h4666 sealed beam pigtail to an h4. the H4 bulbs work, but they almost seam dimmer. What harnesses do I need to get and what headlight buckets do I need? Im new to wiring so a list of everything would help....
