I ran my harness (for hids but it would still work for this application) along the front of the radiator. There is a stock wire loom that runs along the same area and I zip tied it to that.

so the running lights wont make a difference with the harness?

Im not sure... But I think it would not make a difference since it only plugs into your h4 connector you spliced in and on to your battery posts.

Alright. Im gonna order them now. Well see how this works. I would imagine if im just unplugging it from the switch all together and nothings hooked up, the factory harness would just be "laying there". Thanks again

No no factory harness still gets used. But it puts less strain on it

I than followed up my Hella conversion to HID conversion. See the link below. My headlights will light up the road now. I had to adjusts them down to keep from blinding other drivers. I am very happy with the Hella with HID conversion.

There are how tos on disabling the daytime running lights if they give you a problem but I don't see it being a problem. Again I don't do 2nd gens so its greek to me on their operating systems.
